Computer repairs carry a 33-day warranty, and techs get paid for fixes.

A hard drive fails three weeks after we fix your computer. The tech has to fix it again. Before, they'd do the work for free and we'd pay nothing. That's broken.

We extended the warranty to 33 days. If a part breaks during that window, the tech gets paid to fix it. Parts are budgeted on our end. The tech doesn't eat it.

We also locked in what counts. A cracked screen from normal use is covered. A smashed laptop from a drop isn't. It's all written down before the work starts, so there's no argument later.
