You find a roofer on NPCLocal and tap the phone number. We now know that tap happened. Not who called or what they talked about, just that someone clicked to call.

Why does that matter. Because we can tell which contractors are getting real phone calls from real customers. Over time, that tells us who's actually getting work through NPCLocal and who isn't. It helps us figure out what's working.

We built it to keep things simple. No tracking beyond the click itself. Just a count of phone taps on the site.
