the alerts on our jobs board stopped working because we couldn't tell the difference between real people looking at listings and spam bots. the whole system was too messy to separate them.
we rebuilt it from scratch. now we count real human views separately from everything else. it's cleaner and it actually works.
this is the kind of thing that happens when one person runs the whole operation. we find the problem, fix it, and move on.
