Job titles on the job board stop getting cut off mid-word.

Cleaner titles mean you spot the real work faster.

New here? NPCLocal is our local-services site that connects Coastal Bend folks with local pros, plus a jobs board.

We fixed a dumb thing that was breaking job listings on our job board. When a title got too long, we'd just chop it off in the middle of a word. "Warehouse Manager (Temporary" instead of "Warehouse Manager." Looked sloppy. Made your job harder.

Now titles break clean. We trim out the label junk, the stuff in parentheses that doesn't matter, and make sure the main title stays whole. A shipping job reads like a shipping job. A welding gig reads like a welding gig.

We also changed how we rank which jobs show up first. Instead of just counting how many people looked at a listing, we track how many people actually clicked to apply for the job. Real interest. That means the jobs that are actually getting applications float to the top, not the ones that just sit there.
