We used to charge businesses to claim their listing on our direct-mail service. Not much, but enough that some folks didn't bother. We killed the fee. Any local business can claim their listing for free, upload photos of their work, and start getting customer leads through the mail.
You still get a custom postcard with your photo and your story. You still get the tracking to see which postcards bring phone calls. You just don't have to pay upfront to make it real. We make money when your postcards work, not before.
