We're building a map game that shows Coastal Bend shops block by block. You can explore it and learn about local businesses. The art was rough at first, like placeholder art in a video game. This week we finished a new version.

The storefronts are getting custom art that looks closer to what's actually there. The characters in the game have better drawings and more personality. When you zoom in on Corpus Christi or look at the neighborhood around Calallen, it's starting to feel like a real place instead of a generic game board.

The map still works the same way. You explore, you learn about shops, you earn points. But now it's getting closer to what the Coastal Bend actually looks like. We'll keep filling in the rest of South Texas as we go.
