We built a site where plumbers, electricians, and other local service people can list themselves for free. When someone in the Coastal Bend needs work done, they search the site and call the person who can do it.

The problem was simple: a plumber would post their number on the site and never know if anyone actually called. They'd see clicks, but clicks aren't calls. Someone might click to compare prices and never hire anyone.

We fixed it. When someone calls a plumber from our site, we record it. The plumber sees on their account how many real calls came in that week. No estimates. No guessing. Just the actual phone calls.

This matters because a plumber can now tell which descriptions work and which ones don't. If the listing brings in calls, keep it. If it doesn't, rewrite it. That's the difference between a listing that pays for itself and one that's just sitting there.
