Finding A Pro · Constellation
Smart home buyers know what controls their lights.
phone, app, remote, or voice. see what breaks without internet.

We added a page that answers the question every smart home shopper asks first: how do I actually turn this thing on and off. Not the marketing answer. The real one. Can you use your phone? Can you use a remote from away? What happens when your internet drops.
Here's what we found: some smart light systems work better when your internet is down. Systems you can control on your own local network, without needing the internet, keep working during storms. That matters in the Coastal Bend, where storms knock out power for hours. A local network doesn't care if the power is out.
The page lives on our outdoor lighting site now. We also added control sections to the DIY page, the roofline page, and five FAQs. It's not sales copy. It's the gotchas and the honest tradeoffs.
