The game feels like South Texas and Tex-Mex.

Extension Quest is a creature-catching game we made to teach technology and business. You catch creatures and level them up by answering questions. This week we changed the theme from Japanese to South Texas and Tex-Mex. The creatures are called Kami. Your starting creatures are Montekami (mountain), Salsakami (salsa), and Raspakami (raspado). The game world is called The Wilds.

We also connected the game to real local information. There's a bounty section where you can earn game progress by finding and checking facts about the Coastal Bend. It makes the game feel tied to your actual neighborhood instead of a made-up world.

The leaderboard tracks your progress as you explore and learn.
