The jobs board had some rules that didn't match what was actually happening. Rush jobs said one thing about money but paid another. The board said a job was available when it wasn't. Pay information showed numbers that could go down, which they shouldn't. Tests that were supposed to prove everything worked actually proved the opposite.
We cleaned it up. Rush bonuses are conditional, and the board says so. Base pay is guaranteed, and speed bonuses are extra. A worker's pay can never go down once he accepts a job. The board shows what's actually available, not what we wish was available. Tests now prove things actually work.
Some of this was our fault, and some of it was just the kind of mess that builds up when you're moving fast. Either way, it's fixed.
