You trim a clip down to what you think is the good part. Three minutes later you realize you cut out the best joke. Before, that was gone. Now you have a full day to undo it and try again. We keep a copy of your original clip for 24 hours. After that, the trim is final.
This is pure safety net. You can be aggressive with your edits and not sweat it. If you mess up, you have a day to fix it. After that window closes, the trim sticks and the old version is gone for real.
