The advertising system had some rough spots. Performance wasn't where it needed to be.
We spent time tracking down the root causes and fixing them one by one. Not glamorous work. Not a new feature. But the system is more solid, and that matters more than shipping something flashy.
That's the job sometimes. You don't always get to build something new. You get to make something that already exists actually work the way it should.
