The tech repair service used to work like a shift job. You were scheduled, you showed up, you worked the hours on the calendar. That was backwards. We flipped it.

A tech decides when he's available. Monday 8 to 5, Wednesday 10 to 2, Saturday off. He posts that window once. When a customer needs a repair during those hours, the job shows up in his queue. He picks it up or passes. No one calls him to ask if he can work Tuesday. No surprise shifts. No veto on individual jobs once he's said yes to the hours.

It's the only way to run a one-person shop. You can't have someone else deciding your schedule.
