Straight Talk

You get honest local stories.

We write about what matters here.

We used to write based on keywords and guesses. What do people search for? What sounds important? We'd write about it and hope it landed. It was lazy and it showed.

Now we write about what we actually built and released. A job board that works in Spanish. A safety guide. A play button for stories. A site that doesn't break. That's work that counts. That's worth talking about. And if we didn't build it, it doesn't go in the paper.

This means some days we have a lot to say and some days we don't. That's honest. And it keeps us from pretending we did something we didn't.
