Used to be you would request a repair and the website would charge you after the provider accepted the job. We changed it so you pay the moment you submit your request. The price is locked in, the money is in motion, and you know exactly what you owe.
This cuts out the weird waiting period where you do not know if a provider will actually take it. You submit, you pay, you get a confirmation with a time window and a code to verify the appointment. The provider still has to accept and show up, but the money part is done.
For the website it means they know the money is real before they send anyone out. For you it means no surprises on the doorstep.
