We spent the last few weeks rebuilding how our remote repair app launches on your Windows machine. The goal was simple: give you more control over what we can access. That means you don't have to hand over full control. We get in, do the work, and get out.
This matters because admin passwords are dangerous. You shouldn't hand them out, and we shouldn't need them. The new version is designed to work with limited access, which is how it should work. You install it once, and the next time something breaks, you just call us.
The app is still being tested by real users. We've rebuilt the whole sign-up process, the connection between your computer and ours, and the way we see your screen. It's slower than a browser would be, but it's more stable and it doesn't need you to trust us with the keys to your house.
