Our search system matches what you type to the right category. It had a bug that nobody caught for a while. If you searched for something dental in Robstown, the system would score it as a towing job. Not because we wanted that. Because of a single hidden character in the code.
The bug was in how we process search patterns. The system was reading a special character the wrong way, so it couldn't find dental keywords. Every dental search fell through to the wrong category.
We rewrote it so special characters get handled right. A dental search is a dental search, and you get the dentists instead of the tow trucks. It's a small fix, but it's the kind of thing that matters when you're trying to find someone who can actually help you.
