job board now costs money to post.

Local shops can buy post credits upfront. Seekers still search for free.

Smiling cloud over a street with shops and floating job-related icons.

The NPCLocal job board switched to paid posting this week. If you run a business and want to post an opening, you buy credits first. A single post runs you a few bucks. You can buy a bundle and save a little.

Seekers don't pay anything. You can search, filter by town and trade, set up job alerts via email. All free. The idea is simple: businesses benefit from the traffic, so businesses fund it.

You can also buy a Featured badge for fifteen bucks extra. It bumps your post to the top. That's advertising, not merit ranking. A slow post and a fast post are both real jobs.

The board works in English and Spanish. You post in whatever language you want. Seekers can toggle between languages and still find you.

Why this matters: free job boards die because they cost money to run but nobody pays. Paid boards sometimes die too, but at least you know where you stand. We're betting small shops in Alice and Corpus will pay because they actually need workers.
