The South Texas Price Index is a new page on NPCLocal that shows what repairs actually cost in the Coastal Bend. Real numbers from real jobs. Roof repairs, AC fixes, water heater swaps. What did people actually pay.

The data gets cleaned up and published. No company names. No identifying details. Just honest pricing.

Why it matters: if you're a contractor, you can see what the market will bear. If you're a homeowner, you can see what's fair. If you're a shop owner, you know what to charge.

The data is machine-readable too. There's a JSON feed at /api/price-index.json so AI tools and other apps can use it. That's how local information gets into the big systems.

We update it as new data comes in. It's not a snapshot from five years ago. It's what people are actually paying right now in Alice and Corpus and Robstown.
