north point daily newsroom posts its own voice now.

AI picks the photos. Multiple sources. Jay's voice stays in charge.

By The Shop · Dispatch from Alice

The North Point Daily now picks its own photos using AI. When we write an article, the system looks for images that match the story. It checks multiple photo services. It picks the best one. It adds it to the article.

This saves time. It also means every article gets a real photo instead of a generic placeholder. The photos actually match what the story is about.

Jay still writes every headline and every word. The AI is not writing the news. It's just finding pictures that fit.

Why this matters: a newspaper without photos is boring. A newspaper with bad photos is worse. Photos take time to find if you're doing it by hand. Doing it with AI means you can actually ship a daily newspaper from a one-person shop.

The system learned from real examples of Jay's voice and taste. It's not perfect, but it's good enough to ship. And if it picks a bad photo, Jay can swap it out in five seconds.
