NPCLocal, our local-services directory for the Coastal Bend, launched a set of features this week that cover the full arc of a repair job. When a job hits the board, the system notifies a pro the way he set it up: phone call, email, or push notification. He also sets which categories and job sizes he handles, and the board filters accordingly so he only sees work that fits.
Pay follows what actually happened. A customer who asks for rush service pays the premium only if the pro accepts and finishes inside the promised window. If a deadline is missed, the refund runs automatically without the customer having to argue for it. Warranties work the same way: if a repair fails because of the part swapped or the work done, the system logs what was used and how, gives the customer a clear path to bring it back, and pays the pro to make it right. If the customer caused the failure, that distinction is in the record too.
