Repair techs on our marketplace now have posted jobs to apply for, with locked-in pay and built-in warranty terms

Shops in the Coastal Bend can post repair work on NPCLocal and hire techs per job. The pay rate is set before the work starts and cannot be changed mid-job. Techs apply, the shop hires, and payment moves without a middleman.

Two rules are built into every job agreement. First, warranty coverage runs 33 days after a repair is handed back. If something fails in that window, the tech gets paid to fix it. If the customer refuses to cover warranty rework, the shop refunds the original charge and the tech still receives warranty pay. Second, rush surcharges are tied to the deadline. A customer pays extra for same-day or weekend turnaround. If the job misses that window, the rush premium is refunded automatically and the tech collects nothing for the speed they did not deliver.
