Rush jobs require a time window to stop customers from getting charged twice.

We found a problem. A customer would call and say 'I need this fixed today, between 2 and 4 PM.' The shop would quote them a rush fee and take their money. Then the shop would offer the job to multiple techs at once to see who could grab it fastest. If two techs accepted, the customer ended up paying rush money twice for the same time slot.

The fix was to lock the time window into the job from the start. The customer's time window becomes part of the contract. When a tech accepts, they're accepting that specific window. The platform won't let another tech claim the same window for the same customer.

This is one of those things that sounds small but breaks trust fast. A customer pays extra for speed and gets double-billed by accident. We got burned by this one early and fixed it.
