Short links now have a backup when they stop working.

We use short links all over the place, in emails, in ads, in texts. Sometimes those links stop working. When they did, you'd hit a dead end. Now we're testing a backup so when the first link breaks, the system sends you to a working page instead.

It's the kind of thing you don't notice when it works, but you definitely notice when it doesn't. A link dies, the backup catches it, and you end up somewhere useful. It makes the whole experience smoother.

We're still working through it, but the idea is solid.
