white background, bigger text, one column. faster to read.

The North Point Daily went through a full redesign. We killed the cream-colored background and fancy serif font. Now it's white, big black text, and a single column on your phone.

What changed. We dropped the Playfair serif that looked nice but was hard to read fast. Arial Black is blocky and clear. We cut the letter spacing that looked fancy but slowed you down. One column means no jumping left and right.

Why it matters. A newspaper should be fast to scan. You're reading on your phone between jobs or waiting in line. The old design looked like a magazine. This one reads like a real newspaper.

We also added dates you can actually parse. Stories show when they ran. The archive lets you browse by day. And every article page has prev and next buttons so you can jump to the next story without hunting.

It's the same news, just easier to actually read.
