You read an article about finding a local roofer and it mentions a price tracker for roofing costs. The words 'price tracker' are blue. You click it and you're on the price tracker page. No hunting for a link at the bottom, no guessing what we meant.
We set this up so the first time we mention something in a story, that mention is a link. If we talk about the laser shop or the jobs board or a local service, you can jump straight there. It sounds small but it saves time and it keeps the story moving.
We do this on the article body, the preview cards, and the first paragraph. Same rule everywhere.
