Avoid scams.
A real employer will never ask you to pay a fee, buy a "starter kit," or share your Social Security number or bank details to apply. NPCLocal lists these posts but does not employ, screen, or vet any employer. Apply directly to the employer and trust your gut. See a bad post? Use the report link on the listing.
Fix phones and iPads on your schedule. Get paid for every repair you complete.
PAY: $20 to $80 per completed repair, by repair type. Most repairs pay $50. You get the full rate sheet before you accept your first job.
HOW THIS WORKS
- Customers book and pay online before you ever touch the device. No selling, no quoting, no chasing payments.
- You tell us the windows you want to work. Our booking system fills those windows with paid repair jobs.
- You come in, do the repairs on the schedule, and get paid per completed job. No counter shift, no sitting around waiting for walk-ins, no minimum hours.
- Honest volume note: today this is a part-time bench, a few short scheduled windows a week, growing as we reopen capacity.
- The shop opens for scheduled work. When you have booked jobs, you have access.
WHAT YOU DO
- Screen, battery, and charge port repairs on iPhones and iPads. Scope grows as you prove out.
- Document every job in our shop system: photos before and after, a pass/fail test checklist, and a quick parts count before and after each repair. Completed and documented is what gets paid.
- Hand devices back to customers at scheduled pickups and walk them through what you did in plain English.
- Stand behind your work. Repairs carry a 30-day warranty. If your repair comes back with the same issue, you fix it again at no charge and without additional pay. Good techs rarely eat rework. That is the point.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Real repair experience. You can name the models you have worked on and what you do when a repair goes wrong.
- Your own hand tools. We supply parts, fixtures, and safety equipment.
- Comfort talking with customers. Every tech here talks to customers. If you only want a bench in a back room, this is not your gig.
- Care with other people's stuff: customer privacy, tidy records, and honest disclosure when something goes sideways.
WHAT THIS IS NOT
- Not an hourly job and not part-time employment. You are an independent contractor paid per deliverable.
- Not a walk-in counter job. Every job arrives scheduled and prepaid.
- Not loose. Every repair is documented. If documentation annoys you, do not apply.
HIRING: a short conversation, then a paid working tryout, half a day of real repairs on our bench at a flat tryout rate. You will use our systems, follow our checklist, and hand a finished device back to us as if we were the customer. We hire from the tryout, not the resume.
