ai now writes the news stories for us.

North Point Daily now pulls real work from every project, and an AI council writes it in Jay's voice without anyone asking.

The North Point Daily is a newspaper that covers everything I ship. It used to need me to write each story by hand. Now the newsroom pulls commits from every repo, figures out what actually matters, and the AI council writes the whole thing in my voice.

This matters because I was the bottleneck. Every story had to wait for me to sit down and explain it. Now stories go live as soon as they ship. The council reads the code, understands what changed, and writes it so a regular person gets why it matters.

The real win is multi-provider images. Each story gets its own picture now. The AI art director picks the style, ChatGPT generates it, and it lands in the story. No stock photos, no weird generic stuff. Just pictures that fit what the story is actually about.

The honest truth: I'm still teaching it what to write about. Not every commit is a story. The council is learning what counts as news versus plumbing. But the loop is closed. The newspaper runs itself now.
