npclocal website looks different now.

The npclocal site got a redesign. White background. Black Arial text, nice and big. One column on your phone instead of trying to squeeze everything in. It loads faster.

The old design had cream colored backgrounds and fancy serif fonts. It looked nice in theory but it was hard to read on your phone and it took forever to load. We killed all that.

What changed. The hero image now loads in WebP format, which is smaller than the old JPEGs. Your phone gets the picture quicker. The whole page is one column on mobile so you just scroll down. No hunting for stuff. No weird spacing.

Every page got the same treatment. The article pages. The topic pages. The search results. The about page. Even the 404 page when you land on something broken. Consistent, fast, readable.

This matters because people on their phones are in a hurry. They want to find a pro or read something quick. If the page takes three seconds to load, half of them are gone. If the text is too small or the layout is jumbled, the other half leaves. We fixed both.
