Your phone number should be the same everywhere.

This is embarrassing. We run a computer shop and we had our own phone number wrong in half the places online. Google had one number. Our Facebook had another. Apple Maps had a third. If you called the wrong one, you'd reach our sales line instead of the shop, or vice versa.

We spent the last week cleaning it up. Same number everywhere now. 668-0599. Google, Apple Maps, Facebook, Yelp, Nextdoor, Yellow Pages. One number. One business. One right answer.

It's the kind of thing we tell other shops to do, so it felt stupid to be the ones doing it wrong. We fixed it.
