The ranking system was rebuilt around one signal: actual calls. A plumber in Corpus Christi who gets ten calls a week ranks above one who gets two, regardless of how much web traffic either one has. A pro who does good work and answers fast will climb naturally, with no ads to buy and no traffic tricks to run. Separating phone calls from web visits and measuring both every day took several weeks to build correctly.
