90 ships · 4 projects this week

This week we released a way to see what people actually paid for repairs in your area, a Q&A section for South Texas questions, and a complete overhaul of our job listings. The biggest addition is a price tracker that gets smarter as more people tell us if quotes are fair or not. We now cover seventeen cities. One person, one shop, one cup of tea.

You see what others paid for repairs.

You help us keep prices honest. A price tracker built from what real people spent.

When you get a repair quote from a plumber or roofer, you can tell us if the price felt too high, too low, or about right. We don't ask for your name or the exact amount. We just count the votes. Once enough people weigh in, we show a summary on the estimate page so you know what neighbors are actually paying.

Here's how it works: you get a quote. You say if it seems fair. We collect those answers. When we have enough feedback, we show what customers in your city are seeing. We're honest about it. We tell you when we don't have enough votes yet. We also make sure one person can't mess up the whole picture.

Calallen now has its own job listings.

You ask questions about living in South Texas.

Sometimes you need to know something about the Coastal Bend that a search engine can't tell you. When should you seal a driveway here. Can you get a pool fixed in summer? Should you hire a local electrician or do it yourself? We made a page where you can ask these kinds of questions.

You can share a repair estimate with anyone.

When you get a repair quote, you can share it. The quote gets its own web address. Paste it in a text, email, or group chat. Anyone who opens it sees the price, the breakdown of costs, and what other customers said about it. No account. No login.

Off The Wire

More that shipped this week, in brief. Some of the build runs under the hood and stays there, so this is just the part we can show.

  • Job seekers can set alerts for new postings in their area.
  • See what repairs actually cost in your neighborhood.
  • Post a job listing for free or pay to feature it.
  • Get real answers to questions about living and working here.
