Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 26, 2026. Operated by North Point Computers, Alice, TX (since 2000).
The short version: We want everyone to be able to use NPCLocal, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, or other assistive tools. If any part is hard to use, please tell us and we will fix it.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2.1, level AA. This is a goal we keep working toward. It is not a claim that every part is perfect.
What we have built in
A skip-to-content link so keyboard users can jump straight to the main part of each page.
Clear headings and page landmarks so screen readers can move around easily.
A visible outline on whatever you have selected when you move with the keyboard.
Light and dark themes, with a toggle, so you can read in the mode that suits you.
Respect for the reduce-motion setting, so we cut animations if you ask your device for less motion.
Labels on form fields and buttons so it is clear what each one does.
Where we still fall short
Some pages use maps, calculators, and embeds that can be harder to use with assistive tools. Our two arcade-style pages (the Local NPC and the pro recruiter) use a retro game look on purpose, which is more decorative than the rest of the site.
We also link to other websites that we do not control, and those may be harder to use. We are always improving.
Tell us about a problem
If something is hard to use, please tell us. Tell us the page you were on and what went wrong. If you can, include the device and browser you used.
What we will do
We read every message. We will try to fix problems quickly. If you need the information another way while we work on it, we will help you get it.
